Mt. SAC, in its 67th year, is billed as the world’s largest cross country invitational. The High School Division, run over two days, featured 111 races. The highlight of Saturday was a new course record of 14:23 by junior Austin Tamagno of Brea Olinda. Saturday attendees also saw Davis’ Fiona O’Keeffe run away with the Girl’s Individual Sweepstakes race in the 4th fastest Girl’s time of 16:29. Rich Gonzales at PrepCalTrack provides a great overview of Mt. SAC performances HERE.
The Mt. SAC course will be the site of CIF-SS competitions on the road to State. Many of the top ranked teams in both Southern Section and State competed at the Invitational, so results provide some insight as to what can be expected come November.
